A children's author, entrepreneur, and mom of two who believes some of life's biggest lessons begin with the smallest stories.​

Inspired by bedtime cuddles, endless imaginations, and the everyday adventures of my own boys, I created Roo Roo to help children navigate life's biggest milestones with courage, kindness, and confidence. From starting school to making new friends, each story is thoughtfully written to open meaningful conversations between children and the grown-ups who love them.

When I'm not writing, I enjoy creating new adventures for Roo Roo, reading my her family, and finding inspiration in the little moments that often become the biggest memories.

Through Tethered Key, I hope every Roo Roo story reminds little readers that they are brave, capable, and never alone...because every big adventure begins with one small hop.

Fun Facts About Kiah

1. My favorite color is green.

2. I loves to take my sons on special outings to the zoo or aquarium so they can explore and get to know the animals. 

3. My brother and his family live in Australia, home of the Kangaroos.

4. I first created Roo Roo while making up a story to my oldest son before bed, and he loved the character so much I decided my first real children's book story would be about Roo Roo. (Roo Roo is based on my big guy).

5. I loves to bake with my boys.

6. I wasn’t always a reader….but now I must have 4, count em 4, books on deck at all times. (I have a thing with even numbers, too…bonus fact)!
